ABC was undoubtedly licking their chops during Saturday night’s 8 p.m. prime-time game between the Big Ten Penn State and Ohio State powers. That was until Penn State lost a 20-18 nine-hour overtime marathon against Illinois last Saturday.
Still, Ohio State enters at No. 5 in the Top 25 AP on Saturday. Penn State fell to 20. Two questions persist. Should Ohio State be ranked ahead of No.7 Oregon despite losing to the Ducks at home in September? And will Penn State coach James Franklin move to USC at the end of the season?

Fox’s midday game features Michigan’s No.6 traveling to East Lansing to take on his rival and Michigan State’s No.8. Jim Harbaugh got the Wolverines back on track. Meanwhile, Mel Tucker has done such a good job with the Spartans that his name keeps coming up for the opening at LSU. Michigan and Michigan State are both 7-0 this season.
At 7 p.m. on ESPN, No.10 Ole Miss visits No.18 Auburn. It’s a huge game for Ole Miss’s chances of making a New Years Six bowl. The Lane Kiffin Rebels are 6-1 overall with their only loss coming in Alabama. Auburn is 5-2 overall with losses at Penn State and at home to Georgia.
