Director David Yates steps away from the wizarding world and then directs Emily Blunt in Pain Hustlers.
David Yates, who led four Harry Potter movies, the fantastic beasts franchise and the tremendous drama written by Richard Curtis cafe girl, is moving to Netflix for his next project.
Entitled Adventurers of Painthe film is said to have a similar tone to american hustle and the wolf of Wall Street. Blunt will play high school dropout Liza Blake who, struggling to support herself and her young daughter, takes a job at a pharmaceutical company. Her determination and drive catapult the company to enormous success, but she soon finds herself at the center of a criminal plot.
In a deal worth $50 million, Netflix acquired the film from Cannes. The screenplay is being written by Wells Tower while Lawrence Gray will produce under his Gray Matter Productions banner.
Blunt is currently filming the title role in Oppenheimer while Yates Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets is currently in theaters.
