Man City launch Recast channel

Manchester City Football Club has officially launched its revamp channel for fans around the world after a successful trial run last season.

As part of the launch, new documentary series, Together: More champions!, will co-premiere on the Recast Channel and City+ platform when it releases at 6 p.m. on July 27. The next live game available on Recast will be the club’s charity friendly against Barcelona on August 24.

The channel will also give access to Gareth Taylor’s Manchester City women’s team – as well as the chance to keep tabs on emerging talent at the club with content from the U18 and U23 squads. Other highlights on the platform will also include behind-the-scenes action including training clips, player and legend interviews, in addition to the full catalog of City+ documentaries, match-by-play action year, The best of the series and esports content.

We were delighted to be able to show one of our pre-season games against Bayern Munich in Green Bay live on the platform and are looking forward to showing our new documentary series ‘Together: Champions Again!’ and the club’s friendly against Barcelona next month. We hope fans around the world will access and enjoy it, with much more content available over the coming months.

The club’s Recast channel will complement City’s existing subscription OTT platform, giving fans greater choice and control over how they watch content, either by monthly subscription on City+ or by paying at the view on Recast.

Everything on Recast is charged in Cast Credits, with Cast Credit valued at 1p. Fans can buy Casts and earn them on the platform by watching ads, sharing content, or inviting friends to join.
