Semi-trailer containing $ 300,000 in stolen televisions

WHITEFORD TWP., Mich. (WTVG) – A trailer loaded with televisions has gone missing from a truck stop five miles north of the Ohio-Michigan border. It was parked in the Pilot Travel Center where US 23 meets US 223.

Michigan State Police said the driver left him there on Thursday, September 16, around 4 a.m. The next day, Friday, September 17, at around 6:10 p.m., soldiers say that someone noticed that the caravan was no longer there.

The televisions inside the trailer were valued at around $ 300,000.

Across the street, the owner of the Northern Truck N Trailer repair shop says someone stole three catalytic converters from vehicles parked in his parking lot the same night. Wells says it’s possible the crimes are linked, but it could just be a coincidence.

“My biggest worry is that they will be coming back for more of them. You know, there are vehicles in that parking lot all the time, ”says Wells who now has his security cameras on just in case the thieves come back.

Michigan State Police are still looking for this stolen semi-trailer, describing it as a 53-inch white Manac trailer with Charger Logistics logos and an Ontario T58 26Z license plate.

The soldiers say they have no information on possible suspects. If you spot the trailer or have any information, you can contact Private Ben Lambrix of the MSP Monroe Post at 734-242-3500.
