Simon Massie-Taylor appointed Chief Executive Officer of Premiership Rugby

Premiership Rugby has confirmed the appointment of Simon Massie-Taylor as the new general manager.

Massie-Taylor comes from RFU where he held the position of Sales and Marketing Director. He was responsible for the organization’s revenue generation and marketing activities including broadcast, brand partnerships, fan engagement, and digital and data transformation projects.

Massie-Taylor’s appointment comes at a key moment for Premiership Rugby as the company accelerates the development of the league’s full potential, for the benefit of players, clubs and fans.

Gallagher Premiership Rugby’s plan is to continue to grow live TV and stadium audiences while dramatically increasing the league’s digital presence, investing in quality and digital fan engagement.

Massie-Taylor added: “I am very proud to join Premiership Rugby at such an exciting time for the Gallagher Premiership. Last season has been amazing to watch as a fan, especially the unforgettable final at Twickenham, and the current season has already provided extremely entertaining rugby.“.

Prior to RFU he was Commercial Director at the British Olympic Association and Commercial Director at Tough Mudder in New York.
