Two days ago, Subhash Ghai announced a movie called “36, Farmhouse” starring Amol Parashar, Barkha Singh, Ashwini Kalsekar, Sanjay Mishra and Fllora Saini. But did you know that Ram Ramesh Sharma, who was asked to wield the megaphone, was not the first choice as a director?

Vipul Mehta was the initial choice but Mehta had to leave the film. Emphasizing that he had no creative difference with Ghai which led to its release, Vipul told ETimes a few minutes ago: “You are right. I was going to be in charge of ’36, Farmhouse ‘but not anymore. . ”

Vipul is a screenwriter, director and film and television producer who is best known for his writing work in television series such as “Kyunki … Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi” and “Pyaar Ki Kashti Mein” (2004) .

So what happened to get Ram in? Vipul explained, “The movie was supposed to start in January / February. But it continued to be delayed due to the lockdown. And I can’t blame anyone for that. But you see, I’ve already committed to a movie that I I started in Uttarakhand from July 7. I had no choice but to talk to Subhash jhi about it. He understood.

We asked from the start: creative differences? Fallout? “None. Actually, I’m doing a project for Subhash ji- but for a later date,” Vipul revealed.

“Ram is a creative guy. I know him. He will do a good job,” said Vipul. As good as he would have been? Vipul laughed: “Everyone pushes the envelope to make a good movie.”

’36, Farmhouse House ‘is going to be shot largely at Panvel in a bio-bubble. On Thursday, Jackie Shroff made a brief visit to the sets.
