Toyota Avanza ‘A Theater of Memories’ Campaign – It’s More Than Just a Family Car

Christian and Patrick from Sweetshop are behind a new campaign for Toyota Avanza from Ogilvy Singapore in partnership with Hogarth Worldwide, titled ‘A Theater of Memories’.

The minute-long film presents the Avanza as always ready to play different roles for the many different families – more than just a family car, it’s part of the family.

The films are multigenerational, honest and sincere. The viewer hears the individual thoughts of each member of the family, while the film captures the adaptability of the Avanza to different times. The ad takes the viewer through moments on a road trip like milestones on an emotional and geographic journey. Opening with the wonders of our dreamy little girl, leaving in excitement, joy and love. A space where these formative family memories are made.

“We wanted to bring light and shadow to this film; weave between calm moments and euphoria; throwing old, young and even newborn babies. It was great that the agency and the client saw the film the same way we did. It allowed us to express our creativity and connect actors to the world we created,” said Christian & Patrick, Directors of Sweetshop.

Filming took place over five days in Bangkok and Rayong at various locations.
