Ways to Give | Naperville Community Television

There are many media sources for international, national, state and even Chicagoland news – but as a hyper-local, non-profit news organization, NCTV17 is uniquely positioned to cover what’s happening in the 4th largest Illinois Town: Naperville – Our Community!

Every day, through the power of television, NCTV17 tells stories that help residents feel more informed, engaged and connected to the city they call home.

We know local news is important. That’s why we’re committed to ensuring every resident has free access to factual, unbiased, and timely information about local issues that affect their lives.

Your donation of support ensures that our stories don’t live behind a paywall. Your donation helps us tell more Naperville stories on air and online!

One-time donation

All donations are tax deductible, but each donation ensures that all residents can make informed decisions locally and be connected and actively engaged in their community.

monthly donation

News arrives 24/7/365. By donating monthly, you spread your financial impact across the year and provide a reliable revenue stream, allowing NCTV17 to focus more resources on our mission. If your situation changes, you can increase or stop your donations at any time.

company gift

Many companies offer a matching gift program to their employees. It’s an easy way to double your donation and have a bigger impact for NCTV17. Ask your human relations department if your employer has a matching gift program and contact [email protected] if you need station documents.

Planned giving

Planned charitable giving through an estate plan, will, charitable annuity or trust offers you the opportunity to provide essential financial support to the non-profit television station of Naperville while receiving benefits in return. Please consult your financial advisor, tax accountant or lawyer to determine the best way for you to make a planned gift. For instance:

  • Donation of securities
A donation of publicly traded stocks or mutual funds to support NCTV17’s mission.
  • Beneficiary
Name NCTV17 as the beneficiary of your life insurance policy or IRA.
  • Legacy
Include NCTV17 in your will, estate or trust. This won’t affect your cash flow during your lifetime, but will be a meaningful legacy gift.
  • Charitable Remaining Trust
A charitable remainder trust is an irrevocable trust that pays you while you are alive. The rest is paid to NCTV17 upon your death.
  • Chief Trust
A Master Trust is an irrevocable agreement that provides annual gift income from the assets of the Master Trust to NCTV17 over a period of years. At the end of this period, the remaining assets are given to non-charitable beneficiaries, usually children or grandchildren. Master trusts are particularly suitable for assets that are likely to appreciate significantly over the life of the trust (usually 10-20 years).
  • Donor Advised Fund (DAF)
A DAF is a charitable giving program that allows you to combine the most advantageous tax advantages with the flexibility to support your favorite causes. If you have a donor-advised fund, DAF Direct allows you to recommend grants to that nonprofit directly from your DAF (as long as your DAF’s sponsoring organization participates).
