WWE Removes Paul Heyman From Weekly TV Concert

Paul Heyman is special advocate for tribal chief Roman Reigns on Friday Night SmackDown, and he’s the only place fans will be able to see him right now. The former ECW big boss was on Talking Smack every week, but those days are over for him.

It was noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Heyman’s departure from Talking Smack is permanent. Pat McAfee will replace Heyman from now on.

Paul Heyman has now left Talking Smack. Pat McAfee and Kayla Braxton performed last week. We are told that change is permanent and not a week, but of course anything can change tomorrow in WWE.

It was noted that there was “no real reason” to remove Paul Heyman from Talking Smack other than to maintain Heyman’s interaction with the Superstars on SmackDown. It’s an interesting move, as Heyman’s angles with Superstars on Talking Smack often turned out very well towards those matches and sometimes created a viral video in the process.

Paul Heyman is also fueling rumors about Brock Lesnar’s return. If The Beast Incarnate returned to WWE, it would create another role for Heyman to play as his lawyer. It should be important to note that there is no report that will happen, but fans also never know what kind of deal Vince McMahon and Brock Lesnar are working on until it’s too late.
