ZACH Theater announced Austin’s rockiest holiday tradition, A Christmas Carol returns to The Topfer at ZACH for the seventh year from November 24 to January 2, 2022, with exciting new songs and new cast members in more flipping favorites under the direction of Artistic Director of Production Dave steakley.
To kick off the holidays, Austin’s MARC POUHÃ returns to A Christmas Carol at ZACH with Ebenezer Scrooge. Other cast favorites include Kenny williams as Ghost of Christmas Past, Roderick Sanford like Marley, and Michel Valentin like Fred.
The additional cast will be announced at a later date.
A Christmas carol is performed by Dave steakley with the musical direction of ALLEN ROBERTSON. ZACH’s singular adaptation of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol is a musical sleigh ride through rhythm and time, infusing traditional Victorian history with a score that spans all genres and eras. This family show creates an infectious spirit that gets everyone dancing in the aisles. Celebrate the season with the loving Cratchit family and three moving ghosts as they take Ebenezer Scrooge on a ride to rediscover his heart and love for human kindness.
Recommended age: 6 years and over.
Duration: Two hours and twenty minutes including a twenty minute intermission.

COVID AND HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS:
A negative COVID-19 test result must be obtained within 72 hours (3 days) of the date of the show. Molecular (PCR) and antigenic (rapid) tests will be accepted. Instead of a negative test, clients can provide proof of voluntary vaccination. A negative COVID-19 test or proof of vaccination will be checked upon entering the ZACH campus. The final vaccine must be dated at least 14 days before the date of exposure.
The policy applies to indoor and outdoor performances and will affect viewers aged 12 and over. Children under 12 will not be required to provide a negative COVID-19 test upon entry. Masks should be worn by all customers at all times, except when actively eating or drinking.
